New patients

WE WELCOME ALL NEW PATIENTS!

To register at our practice, call or visit us to book a new patient appointment.

Disabled access – Our treatment areas are accessible to patients with disabilities, however we do not have a disabled toilet.

If you have any disability that you think we need to know about please give us a call before your appointment and we will do our best to put suitable arrangements in place to accommodate your needs.

Please note that children under 16 should be accompanied by parent/guardian when visiting the practice.

When you call or visit us to book a new patient appointment, we will ask for your name, date of birth and contact telephone number. We will schedule your appointment and give you the date, time and name of the dentist who is going to see you. We will ask you to arrive a few minutes early to fill a Medical History questionnaire and a few other forms (alternatively you can download a Medical History form and Patient Information leaflet from this website and bring it with you filled, signed and dated, to your first appointment).

If you can not attend your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice and we will happily cancel or reschedule your booking.

We will text or call you, on the provided contact telephone number, a day before your appointment to remind you about your booking.

When you come for your appointment please inform Reception that you have arrived. We will ask you to fill in a Medical History (if you downloaded it from our website please hand the filled form to the reception); and NHS forms which ask for your name, date of birth, address and whether you pay NHS charges for your treatment or you are exempt from payment (for the list of benefits that exempt you of the payment please check below).

It is very important that you understand the forms that you are filling in so if you have difficulties with English please bring a friend or a relative who can help with the translation or let us know before the appointment so we can put suitable arrangements in place to accommodate you needs.

After you have filled in all the forms, Reception Staff will enter your details into our computer system, and ask you to hold your forms and have a seat in one of our waiting areas.

The Dentist or the Dental Nurse will invite you into Surgery and collect your forms. During the first visit the Dentist will check your Medical History and ask for your dental needs and preferences and a full dental check up will be completed.

If you need further treatment, the Dentist will explain your options and the costs involved, giving you enough time to ask questions, and will hand you a written treatment plan.

After the visit you will be asked to return to reception and book another appointment and make a payment if necessary.
